| An incredibly original artist, her character designs are my favourite part about her work: exotic and mysterious; not to mention her awesome painting skills. |
| | Tubenose has a unique feature in his style that many other artists seem to particularly lack: versatility. Regardless if it's "digital realistic painting" or "big-eyed cel-shaded manga", he always does it with talent and a unique style. He is a fine example of how style goes far beyond drawing what you know best over and over again. |
| | She has incredible notion of anatomy and lighting; I also love the details in her work, and she always has an interesting choice of themes, with particular accuracy in the settings and details. |
| | Fantastic lineart, great use of colours (especially monotones =P) and compositions make her one of the most interesting artists I've seen. |
| | I like this artist's harmonious colours, original and creative character designs, and delicate lineart. |

Goodbye, HP (long rambling) |
Posted: Jul/28/2007, 8:14pm
|
I've finished reading HP and the Deathly Hallows. It's beautiful, I thought it was a nice ending; sad, but apropriate. Couldn't expect no one to die in the final battle, obviously. =P
All the same, it's a bit depressing mostly because it's the end of an era; seven years of my life have passed in the company of this fabulous series. I adoooreeee the HP series, I've bought the first book - the brazillian edition, which had just been launched in 2000 - I have the first edition of the first book ;3 - when I was fourteen, before there were the films and before it became a world phenomenon, something which I'm kind of proud of (neeerrdineeesss I know =P).
Enough of this speech, I loved this book, but it still didn't beat my favourite one.
Favourite books:
1. HP and the Prisoner of Azkaban
2. HP and the Half-Blood Prince
3. HP and the Deathly Hallows
4. HP and the Goblet of Fire
5. HP and the Order of the Phoenix
6. HP and the Philosopher's Stone
7. HP and the Chamber of Secrets
Favourite characters:
1. Remus Lupin
He's my favourite ever since becoming a humble DADA teacher. B) I like how in this last book he's had some highlights, yet saying more would spoil the book for those who didn't read it yet. =/
2. Severus Snape
Snape actually managed to ditch Hermione of this position because of this book!! I've always found him an intriguing and interesting character; I like him better now because JK Rowling made him so more humane in this book. It's one of the best parts about the book.
3. Hermione Granger
She's always been my favourite until Lupin appeared. From the fifth book onwards she was getting kind of annoying because JK Rowling made her somewhat weepy and subservient in her scenes with Harry Potter, but she still is really cool.
4. Ron Weasley
I've never paid much attention to Ron until the fifth book. Then he became one of my favourites in the whole series. I find him a lot more interesting than angsty and suffered Harry; Ron is like, the being with no qualities (less talented, less clever, rude, insecure, selfish) but that's what makes him cooler than Harry, in my opinion. =P
5. Sirius Black
Who doesn't like Sirius, right. =P He's a very cool type of character, sometimes an asshole, but an adorable one at that.
6. Weasley twins
They're responsible for the best scene in the fifth book (in my opinion, obviously), and they're just FUN and cool! =P
7. Harry Potter/Dumbledore/Hagrid/Bill Weasley/Tonks
I'm not that big a fan of Harry, but nevertheless since the adventures all are read through his point of view one can't be completely indifferent to him. The other characters are just some others I find nice or cool, but not as much as the first 6. =P

Wow, now the limit for images is twelve pics! That's great. =P |
