What's your trick? |
Posted: Oct/02/2008, 12:53pm Feeling: Pleasant; Listening To: Afterlife (omg hard on Rock Band!)
|
So, I'm wondering what people's tricks are to get out of art blocks/art ruts. I haven't really had any desire to work on art lately, I'm more interested in writing for my story. However, I don't want this to be the case - I would like to have a nice balanced blend of both things. (I guess having a new MMO to play doesn't help the art output rate).
I've thought about bringing my cintiq to work and working on art during my breaks (I have about a 2 hour break in between clients), but that just always seems like such a hassle because there are so many wires that go with it. I'm also blaming this on not having photoshop on this computer and I "can't sketch" in Painter. I think it's just a stubborn-ness thing on my part.
Oh well, I feel horrible because I haven't been posting any art or doing any art. Any suggestions on how to get back into it? i've thought about doing a daily sketch and making myself do at least a sketch a day (I saw someone do this on livejournal and thought it was an interesting idea.) |
