Does printer ink really have to cost $15,000 a gallon? |

I ordered a continuous flow system for my printer (a Canon Pixma Pro9000) at the end of June. It arrived yesterday, and Mark and I set it up. Despite a savings of around 90% for the cost of ink, I can't recommend this process to anyone who doesn't have nerves of steel and more than a little computer hardware knowledge. Our hands look like a counterfeiting machine blew up on them, and at least twice the inside of the printer was soaked in ink. After many hours of fiddling, tweaking, reattaching, and modding the mod, it's finally up and working, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't simply explode overnight. |
