MangaRevolution has really surprised me... I really like the 'style points' system they have here, it makes a lot more sense than the ever-disappointing 'faves' part of DA. Though I've gotta say that being on the front page in the 'popular junior art' section every time I upload a deviation is a little weird x_x I don't feel I deserve it really, I always associate the front page with professionals.
I always got really nervous on DA when a great artist would fave or comment on my work. I'd be nervous because on principle I see my work as flawed, yet for them to approve of it... It means they can't see the flaws? Or even with the flaws, the picture is still of good quality. Hm...
It's the same here - I'm so surprised at how many absolutely brilliant artists have taken the time to comment and fave my work... It's like this community is so intimate that even amateurs like me get a little attention ^_^ It's lovely!
